Job description

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an outstanding Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a growing Comprehensive Congenital Heart Center committed to delivering the highest level of multidisciplinary care. This role supports a strategic vision to provide advanced, full-spectrum congenital cardiac services, including complex neonatal and pediatric surgical and interventional care.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in the perioperative management of infants and children with congenital heart disease, including cyanotic and single-ventricle physiology, neonatal cardiac surgery (including Norwood procedures), and catheter-based interventions. Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass, advanced monitoring, vascular access, airway management, and care of critically ill neonates and infants is essential.

Applicants must have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology or Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology, with additional advanced training-or equivalent clinical experience-in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology. Demonstrated experience across the full spectrum of cardiac surgical and thoracic cases, as well as exposure to ECMO, VAD support, and transplantation, is expected.

This position requires a collaborative clinician committed to excellence in multidisciplinary care, education, and program development. Responsibilities include participation in fellow and resident education, team-based care, and contributions to advancing the mission of a comprehensive heart center.
