Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)


Job Details:

  • 13-week contract with options to extend

  • Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts or three 12-13 hour shifts per week, plus one rotating Saturday per month with no call required

  • Weekly availability is required; rotation of weeks on/weeks off is not preferred

  • All time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to acceptance; time off exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during summer months

  • Patient population ranges from adolescents (age 13) through end of life

  • Level 1 trauma center supporting a large anesthesia team including CRNAs, attending anesthesiologists, and anesthesia residents

  • Anesthesia team covers main operating rooms, offsite anesthesia locations, outpatient surgery ORs, and GI center rooms

  • Practice settings include inpatient and outpatient environments with options to work in the main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center

  • EMR system is Epic (preferred experience)

  • Hospital bed size is 600 beds

  • Cases will not include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, or performing peripheral nerve blocks

  • All CRNA scopes of practice are required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred

  • Outpatient-only candidates will be considered, but recent inpatient experience is preferred

  • Board certification is required along with a Virginia state license

  • ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA

  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered

  • Two professional references or contact information for two references must be provided at time of submittal

  • If provider has any prior affiliation with the facility (work, school, or other), this must be disclosed in the presentation

    This facility is a prominent academic medical center and Level 1 trauma center with 600 beds, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. The anesthesia department is robust, supporting dozens of operating rooms, offsite anesthesia locations, an outpatient surgery center, and a GI center. The team is composed of a large, collaborative group of anesthesia professionals working together to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple service lines.
