Job description

  • Aug 11-13: 7:00a-3:00p (8 hours) + weeknight beeper call 3:00p-7:00a (14 hours)
  • Sept 1-4: 7:00a-3:00p (8 hours) + weeknight beeper call 3:00p-7:00a (14 hours)
  • Sept 5-7: 24-hour call, 7:00a-7:00a (Sept 7 is a holiday)
  • Sept 8: 7:00a-3:00p (8 hours) + weeknight beeper call 3:00p-7:00a (14 hours)
  • Ongoing need: 4 days/month, 7:00a-3:00p plus call 3:00p-7:00a
  • Patients/day: 10-15 CVICU/step-down + 1-2 surgeries
  • Patient population: Adult/gerontology
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Hospital size: 199 beds
  • Special procedures: Temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, A-line placement
  • Required skills: Recent cardiothoracic surgery experience; proficient with EVH
  • Call: Required (weeknight beeper call; 24-hour call on select dates)
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Certifications: AZ license, DEA, NCCPA, ACLS, BLS
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
  • Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • Credentialing timeframe: 30 days
