Clinical Role
Join an established hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona, providing general surgery call coverage during the holiday season. This locums opportunity offers in-house call coverage for assigned and unassigned patients within a collaborative, Stroke Certified, Level III Trauma Center. Providers holding an active Arizona license or those eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) are encouraged to apply.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Hospital-Based
30-bed facility
Patient Population:
Adult general surgery patients
Clinical Volume:
- Approximately 5 patients seen
- Approximately 3 phone consults
- Approximately 2 admissions
- Call ratio: 5
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive general surgery call coverage
- Evaluate and manage assigned and unassigned surgical patients
- Perform emergency general surgery procedures as needed
- Complete hospital admissions
- Respond within 30 minutes when required
- Collaborate with emergency medicine, anesthesia, and hospital staff
- Document patient care using Cerner EMR
