The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Indiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist at the Associate Professor or Professor level to serve as Division Director, General Obstetrics & Gynecology. This leadership opportunity offers a blend of clinical excellence, academic engagement, faculty development, and strategic leadership within one of the nation's premier academic health systems.
The Division Director serves as the academic, clinical, and administrative leader of the General OBGYN Division and is responsible for advancing the division's mission in clinical care, education, faculty mentorship, operational excellence, and strategic growth. This physician leader will work closely with departmental leadership, the Indiana University School of Medicine, IU Health, and Eskenazi Health to support high-quality, equitable care for diverse and underserved patient populations.
Position Highlights
Serve as Division Director for the General Obstetrics & Gynecology Division within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Provide academic, clinical, and operational leadership for a well-established division of physicians, learners, and advanced practice providers.
Approximately 70% clinical effort and 30% administrative leadership responsibilities.
Maintain an active clinical practice in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Approximately 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient clinical responsibilities.
Participate in resident clinics, inpatient teaching services, and medical student education.
Lead faculty recruitment, mentorship, professional development, quality initiatives, and program growth.
Shared rotating call schedule with approximately 2-3 call shifts per month, including weekends.
Primary clinical site: Eskenazi Health (approximately 90%).
Additional clinical responsibilities at IU Health Methodist Hospital (approximately 10%).

Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Eligible for medical licensure in Indiana.
Academic rank of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, or qualifications consistent with appointment at that level.
Demonstrated leadership experience in academic medicine strongly preferred.
Proven interest in faculty development, mentorship, program building, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
