Job Description

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of a high-volume Starbucks location within Purdue University, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and financial performance. This role oversees hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, inventory management, food safety, and compliance with Starbucks and Aramark brand standards. The manager develops and motivates a team, maintains strong client and customer relationships, and drives sales, labor, and profitability goals while creating a positive and engaging environment for employees and guests.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of a high-volume Starbucks location, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and compliance with Starbucks and Aramark standards.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members using Aramark's coaching model while managing performance, scheduling, and employee engagement.
  • Supervise front-of-house operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage production, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client, customer, and campus partner relationships while communicating operational progress and service improvements.
  • Manage labor, food costs, inventory, ordering, merchandising, cash handling, and profit and loss performance to achieve financial goals.
  • Monitor operational metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, service quality, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence initiatives, food safety regulations, company policies, and government requirements.
  • Conduct inventory, maintain operational records, support forecasting and accounting functions, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and leadership to support retail initiatives, special events, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and customer-focused environment while driving accountability, teamwork, and consistent execution of brand standards

Qualifications
  • Requires at least 4 years of experience

  • Requires 1-3 years of experience in a management role?

  • Previous experience in retail required?

  • Requires a bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills

  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.?

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time?

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
