Job Description: We're partnering with a global technology company to identify an experienced Export Controls & International Trade Attorney to support cutting-edge hardware products from concept through global launch.
In this role, you'll work closely with engineering, product, and supply chain teams to provide practical legal guidance on U.S. export regulations while helping innovative products reach customers around the world.
What You'll Do
Advise engineering and product teams on U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Perform Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) classifications for hardware, software, and technical data
Analyze export licensing requirements and support license applications
Partner with cross-functional teams to navigate export compliance throughout the product lifecycle
Counsel stakeholders on international trade regulations, sanctions, and related compliance matters
Help balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced product environment
What We're Looking For
Active U.S. bar license
7+ years of experience in export controls and international trade law
Deep knowledge of EAR, ECCN classifications, and export licensing
Experience partnering directly with engineering or hardware product teams
Strong communication skills with both legal and technical stakeholders
Preferred Experience
Consumer hardware, AR/VR, wearables, robotics, semiconductor, or electronics products
China, European Union, or United Kingdom export controls
OFAC sanctions and/or import compliance
Experience supporting global product launches
