Job Description: Civil Defense Attorney - General & Products Liability, Catastrophic Injury (Hybrid / Remote - California)Location: California (Irvine preferred; hybrid or fully remote options available)

Compensation: $130,000 - $275,000 base salary + bonus

Annual Hours Expectation: 1,900

About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced civil defense attorney to join a dynamic litigation team handling general liability, products liability, catastrophic injury, and personal injury matters in California. The role offers exposure to complex civil defense litigation, with opportunities to manage cases, appear in court, and collaborate with senior litigators.

Candidates with 3-10 years of civil defense litigation experience are preferred, though attorneys at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid and remote options, are available.

Key Responsibilities

Manage civil defense cases involving general liability, products liability, catastrophic injury, and personal injury claims
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for hearings and trial
Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-office litigation teams
Communicate with clients regarding case updates, strategy, and risk mitigation
Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Licensed and admitted to practice in California (required)
3-10 years of civil defense litigation experience preferred; all experience levels encouraged
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Self-starter capable of managing complex cases independently while working collaboratively
Trial preparation, hearings, and deposition experience preferred
