Job description

Our client in Virginia is seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician for an engaging 130-day locum tenens assignment, set to begin on Aug 3, 2026. This full-time role operates MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, focusing on primary care urology work such as managing UTIs, testosterone therapy, and prostate enlargement. The Physician will handle a patient volume of 1822 individuals per day, with follow-ups around 20 minutes and new or complicated cases allotted 2030 minutes. Responsibilities and Duties Manage a patient volume of 1822 patients per day. Conduct follow-up appointments, estimated at approximately 20 minutes each. Allocate 2030 minutes for new patients or complicated follow-ups. Provide primary care urology services, including managing UTIs, testosterone therapy, prostate enlargement, overactive bladder, sexual dysfunction, and elevated PSA evaluations. Collaborate with support staff, including several full-time MAs and an on-site Nurse Practitioner. Additional Information The client is willing to train the right provider for specific aspects of the role. Specialization in Urology is not required; Family Practice Physicians are encouraged to apply.
