Job Details
- Position: Locum Tenens Breast Radiologist
- Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
- Setting: On-site and remote breast imaging coverage as assigned
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
- Duration: 52 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,880 - $6,960
- Case Mix: Breast ultrasound, breast MRI, diagnostic teleradiology, and mammography screening
- Volume Expectation: 98 RVUs per shift minimum
- Technology: RPCE tech stack and Mosaic dictation software
- Start Date: October 1, 2026
Job Requirements
- Board Certified in Radiology
- Minimum 1 year of experience in breast imaging, diagnostic radiology, or a related radiology role required
- Ability to interpret breast ultrasound, breast MRI, diagnostic studies, and screening mammograms
- Comfortable working in a high-volume breast imaging environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a teleradiology-supported workflow
- Clean file preferred for temporary credentialing consideration
Responsibilities
- Interpret a full range of breast imaging studies with accuracy and efficiency
- Provide diagnostic reads for breast ultrasound and breast MRI cases
- Review and interpret screening mammograms and related diagnostic follow-ups
- Maintain productivity expectations while delivering high-quality radiology reads
- Collaborate with the care team to support timely, reliable patient care
- Adapt to established workflows and reporting systems to ensure smooth coverage
