This is a well-established acute care hospital serving the southeastern Missouri region, offering comprehensive critical care services. The facility features a 14-bed ICU and a 12-bed CTU, providing a dynamic and well-supported environment for critical care professionals.

Board Certified - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine

Job Details:
  • Locum Tenens opportunity with an immediate start date, ongoing coverage needed
  • Specific shifts needed: 8/6-8/9 and 9/10-9/15; candidates must have availability for these dates
  • 12-hour in-house day shifts with no call required
  • Coverage schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, approximately 1-2 weeks per month
  • Manage 8-14 patient encounters per shift across a 14-bed ICU and 12-bed CTU
  • Perform all procedures required when covering the ICU, including intubation, arterial lines, and central lines
  • Provide ventilation management including invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP) modalities
  • Perform chest tube insertion and bronchoscopy including bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
  • Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
  • Perform dialysis catheter placement and ICP evaluation and management
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic taps including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Active Missouri (MO) license required; candidates licensed in MO only will be considered
  • Clean malpractice and NPDB history required
  • Board certification required with ATLS certification also required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe is 2-3 weeks

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
