Please ask about our generous referral fees!o Locum tenens job openingo Seeking a board certified nurse practitioner or physician assistanto Must have at least one year of post-training Trauma and/or General Surgery experienceo Inpatient positiono No call responsibilitieso Holiday coverage required only if it falls during the scheduled rotationo Must be able to provide ongoing 7-on/7-off coverageo One day of orientation requiredo Two to three business days of proctoring requiredo Minimum of five procedures per procedure type required during proctoringo Schedule: 7 on / 7 off 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Monday through Sundayo One APP needed for ongoing coverage including: June 23-28 July 6-12 July 20-26 August 3-9 August 17-23 August 31-September 6? September 14-20? September 28-October 5o Second APP needed for:? September 14-20? • Clinical Responsibilities:o Manage inpatient admissions and consults for:? Trauma? General Surgery? Urologyo Respond to Level I and Level II trauma activationso Perform admissions, H&Ps, and consultationso Serve as hospital-wide first call for inpatient surgical services including:? General Surgery? Trauma? Orthopedics? Urology? Colorectal Surgeryo Board surgical caseso Evaluate trauma and general surgery consults and discuss with the on-call surgeono Manage urology admissions and consultso Assist with bedside urologic procedures as neededo Troubleshoot Foley catheters and continuous bladder irrigationo Must be proficient with:? Suturing? Central line placement? Arterial line placement? Tube placement
• Required Experience & Certifications:o Trauma and General Surgery experience requiredo ACLS certification requiredo ATLS certification requiredo All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Associationo Minimum of 50 applicable case logs within the past 12 monthso Active Michigan license required
