Sarcoxie Nursing Center, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility located in Sarcoxie, Missouri, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a nursing leader who enjoys mentoring others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while building a culture of teamwork and accountability.
As the Director of Nursing, you will partner closely with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional resident experience. We are seeking a leader who is visible on the floor, supports staff through coaching and education, adapts to changing priorities, and leads confidently through both everyday operations and unexpected challenges.

What You'll Do
Provide strong clinical leadership while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
Lead, mentor, educate, and develop nursing staff to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
Serve as a visible, hands-on leader who is actively engaged with residents, families, and staff.
Partner with the Administrator to achieve exceptional clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations while maintaining survey readiness.
Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, risk management, and resident outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, consultants, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident care.
Maintain flexibility while effectively managing multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and accountability.
Qualifications Required
Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility.
Thorough knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Demonstrated success in clinical leadership, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to remain calm, decisive, and focused in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Passion for coaching, mentoring, and building engaged clinical teams.
