This CT Technologist position offers the opportunity to work day shift in a well-established, hospital-based imaging department in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a vibrant community in the scenic Fox Valley region. Oshkosh is known for its welcoming atmosphere, excellent schools, and strong sense of community. Situated along the shores of Lake Winnebago and near the Fox River, the area provides easy access to boating, fishing, and year-round outdoor recreation, as well as parks, trails, and abundant green space. Oshkosh hosts a variety of events and attractions, including renowned air shows, festivals, farmers markets, and cultural activities that bring visitors from across the country. Residents enjoy a comfortable cost of living, a safe environment, and convenient access to dining, shopping, and entertainment. The community's balance of small-city friendliness and regional amenities makes it an appealing place to build both a career and a life. In this role, you will be an integral member of a collaborative imaging team, providing high-quality CT examinations for a diverse patient population. The department supports a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency imaging, giving you the opportunity to use and expand your skills across a broad range of studies. A typical day includes receiving and reviewing orders, verifying patient identity and exam indications, explaining procedures, positioning patients, and performing CT scans according to established protocols. You will perform routine CT scans, contrast-enhanced studies, and specialized exams such as CT angiography and trauma-related imaging, while consistently applying radiation safety principles. You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure timely, accurate imaging and contribute to comprehensive patient care. Documentation in the electronic medical record and use of PACS and radiology information systems are integral parts of the workflow. The environment emphasizes patient-centered care, with a focus on clear communication, comfort, and safety. You will be expected to maintain equipment readiness, perform basic quality control checks, and contribute to protocol optimization and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Depending on department needs, you may assist in training students or new staff, helping to foster a supportive, learning-oriented culture. Day shift scheduling offers the potential for a stable work-life balance, while the variety of cases and steady exam volume provide meaningful, engaging clinical experience.
