Pipe SuperintendentA Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Superintendent for our large heavy civil project located in Tampa, FL. Roles and responsibilities include knowledge of FDOT standards in relation to storm water and roadway. Key duties involve safety, management of field operations, quality control, planning and scheduling inspections, interaction with inspectors, scheduling and oversight of subcontractors, attending weekly subcontractor coordination meetings, planning and execution including managing schedules, assisting in developing work plans, reviewing contract documents, conducting foreman meetings, on-site coordination with sub-contractors, following company safety program and OSHA standards, managing job-site cleanliness, reviewing timesheets, preparing daily reports, mentoring and helping grow Assistant Superintendents and Foreman, maintaining professional relationships with owner, engineer and subcontractors, attending cost review meetings, facilitating 4 weeks look ahead meetings, equipment utilization and forecast mobilization and demobilization, material ordering and cost control, inspecting lines and grades, confirming all testing prior to calling inspection or engineer to witness, verifying pay application quantities, and verifying stored materials meet storage requirements.
Qualifications include proven leadership in managing large-scale pipeline projects, strong knowledge of steel pipe installation techniques, equipment, and safety practices, ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, working knowledge of common MS office programs, and willingness to work long hours.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Relevant experience can waive degree.
